a sub-par expectation?
You’re supposed to unwind.
Have some fun,
but a chase in the back of your mind
makes you feel you’re on the run.
Breathe.
Tame your inner beast.
So what if you don’t make the cut?
Who’s ever the picture-perfect?
In the end,
anxiety is forced to stay hidden and tied up
left alone in the backseat of your mind.
This time, don’t forget the gag
so it won’t be way too loud.
Once again,
the world always needs the calmer version of you
instead of who’s really true.
