"SAFE?"
Have I told you that comfort zone is temporary?
Go ahead, call me crazy.
Have I told you that a safe space is an illusion?
It’s our own creation.
It’s just like us.
It doesn’t really last.
You claim that women are safest at home,
but many are assaulted in their private rooms
by family who should be protecting them
and these women are forced into silence
in the name of family honour?
Don’t you get their horror?
The houses of worship have been tainted by blood
prayers taken by bullets
Nobody had suspected the monster
entering the room
One of them even greeted: “Hello, brother.”
Is anywhere else safe?
Isn’t it obvious?
It’s the endangered kindness
slowly losing its existence
How to revive to keep it alive?
Can we restore peace
in the only world we live in,
instead of exchanging hatred,
offering no solutions?
