The evening in London
When the sun was sitting and the tube took me back
We went together to our hotel
She used to whisper to me and I didn't mind listening
I was sober, sometimes I was confused as well
So when the sun went down
In an hour and a half
She looked at me carefully
The sight was sudden enough
And I replied a trash to her
I just ignored her
I could have been more
Tender but my seriousness was aware
And there used to be phantoms about which I did care
I think I was young and I
Still suffer for what was just passed away
A long time ago.
