Exhaustion chained to my right leg, my body coerced to submit.

Submission pinned down all it's nerves, forcing myself to admit

that the tingling sensation coursing through my veins will calcify my bones

as I walk back and forth waiting, anticipation for nothing while I'm alone.

within a woman more than mild, who in me that she'd styled,

down a river Nile.

Break my flesh, not my heart from the end to the start,

I can't drive

Any further than the destinations of my mind

And just like in reality do I find

Every night I run from my doubts

It's never any fun

Too much sunlight causes droughts

Dry my thoughts like the sun..

I want for us to talk it out

Instead of pointing guns

I see the change of light lined round the numbers at the corner

Within, I am entrenched within the hope of my false expectations

Where a harmless intent can mean anything to you, unknowing at the extent of it's effect
